TEACHER TRAINING COURSE HATHA VINYASA
200 ORE (CERTIFIED YAI – YOGA ALLIANCE INTERNATIONAL)
YOGA ACADEMY EUROPE – SPAIN, CERVERA DEL MAESTRE
10 SEPTEMBER – 1 OCTOBER 2022
At SYM we believe in a Yoga that is rooted in the history of this millenary art, remaining in line with the traditional teaching models, but at the same time we strive to making it accessible to all seekers of the present world, in order to offer a valid system to support the need for growth and evolution of each individual.
In our training project great care is taken to build a solid foundation through the study and knowledge of the eight limbs of Classical Hatha Yoga, in order to offer an authentic base from which students can intelligently embark on a journey of creative investigation, in this constantly evolving world of modern Yoga.
Our course is certified by the Yoga Alliance International based in India. With this programme we offer the possibility to begin a meaningful journey of investigation into the world of Yoga, complemented by aspects and knowledge from some of the most deeply rooted and widespread Eastern healing techniques.
Our students learn to grasp the messages of the body through touch, guided in this journey by teachers who are not only Yoga teachers but also long-time practitioners in various healing disciplines.
Through this mode of exploration, SYM Teacher Training fosters a deeper understanding of Yoga in our students by facilitating a deeper investigation of the self.
Our course is open both to those who wish to lay the foundations for becoming a successful teacher, but also to those who wish to participate with the primary aim of deepening their knowledge of Yoga.
This teacher training has the special feature of having an international team of teachers, each of whom comes from a different background (Asthanga Yoga, Hatha-Vinyasa yoga) offering their own personal vision of classical Hatha Yoga.
The diversity and comprehensiveness of the teachings greatly enriches the students’ ability to see the same subject from different angles. We consider this aspect to be one of our strengths.
Our team has many years of international teaching experience. The exploration of the practice is offered in a way that honours and keeps the tradition pure, while at the same time stimulating curiosity and investigation, so as to make the practice realistic and relevant in a changing world. The course is taught in English but our staff speak many other european languages.

LOCATION
Cervera del Maestre is a historic town in the Maestrazgo region, perched on top of a hill that dominates a vast territory in the geographical center of Baix Maestrat.
The population settles on the slopes of the castle, adapting to the morphology of the terrain, and although strata from the Iron Age have been uncovered, the origin of the population is established in the Islamic period, as shown by its old and curious labyrinthine urban framework of narrow, steep, irregular and winding streets, typical of Andalusian cities.
As a result of the importance and power of its castle, after the reconquest, Cervera, under the dominions of the Order of San Juan del Hospital (1233) and the Order of Montesa (1319), became the economical center and priory of the “Viejo Maestrazgo” . With the fortress as the political-administrative core, the Mensa Maestral or Setena encompassed the towns of Sant Mateu, Xert, la Jana, Canet lo Roig, Traiguera with Mas dels Estellers, Càlig and Rossell. A great legacy of the importance of the population can be seen today in the various heraldic shields that are preserved in the Calle Mayor.
Currently Cervera has a population close to 650 inhabitants. With a rainfed agricultural economy (almond, olive and carob trees) and services, the lack of industry and its privileged natural enclave mean that the air that is breathed in the village is one of the purest in the province.
